Concrete curing

The solution for faster mold rotations !

Principle of low-pressure steam concrete curing

Faster hardening? Concrete with high compressive strength? Cleaner, smoother concrete? Faster handling of your precast elements?

Our SIMOX low-pressure steam solutions enable you to meet these challenges in your plants and on your worksites.

Have a question ?
Our experts have the answers

Why use low-pressure steam to bake precast prestressed components?

Low-pressure steam for accelerated steaming enables :

  • very rapid demolding, with molds and formwork rotating 2 to 3 times a day,
  • improved homogeneity of prestressed beams, precast slabs and concrete parts
  • more reliable quality,
  • greater onsite storage and delivery capacity, notably with the possibility of carrying out operations on the drying area, but also earlier transport (highway beam),
  • greater strength, with shorter setting and demolding times,
  • the ability to follow temperature curves,
  • steaming cycle up to 70-80°C,
  • maximum utilization of boards.
  • Better use of available production space by increasing mold rotation.

Accessories for low-pressure steam curing of concrete

  • Mobile boiler room with integrated control valves,
  • water treatment equipment (softener, dosing pump) to improve steam generator life and performance (generator not guaranteed without appropriate water treatment and monitoring).
  • Steam distributors and diffusers for ovens
  • Mould temperature control system

In conclusion

Choose SIMOX solutions for concrete drying (blocks, prestressed precast) to optimize your worksite lead times. Faster turnaround times, greater storage capacity and delivery options mean greater productivity.
