SIMOX has specialized in low-pressure steam since 1952..
1952 : Creation of the first steam generator specifically for soil disinfection in France by Mr. Jean-Vincent VERDONNET, who founded the SIMOX company. The first generators were vertical (lit by a torch) and had an output of 85 to 350 Kg-vap/hour. The company registers a patent.
In the early 1960s, the business was extended to the production of hot concrete and the steaming of prefabricated concrete elements, especially with the construction of ski resorts in the Alps and large dams. This made it possible to produce concrete all year round, and to obtain higher strengths for prefabricated elements. At that time SIMOX was producing more than 25 generators a month.
1981 : Mr. Maurice HERAULT took over the SIMOX company at a time when it was experiencing a sharp drop in sales due to the arrival of chemical products competing with steam for floor disinfection, and the rising cost of fuel in conjunction with the end of construction of the big stations in the Alps. He then developed other steam applications in the industrial field, as well as international expansion.
2008 : Mr Bernard SYLVESTRE-BARON takes over the management of SIMOX. He continues technical development, improving thermal efficiency and offering more and more “ready-to-use” solutions for different application sectors. The SIMOX range is diversifying, while retaining the basic principle of simplicity as a guarantee of reliability :

For this reason, the engineering department is becoming an increasingly important part of the company's development. The result is fixed or mobile low-pressure steam generators that can be adapted to worksites, as well as the use of various energies to meet the ecological and economic expectations of today's and tomorrow's businesses!
Since 1992 SIMOX has been based in Contamine-sur-Arve in the heart of the Alps, in Haute-Savoie, between Geneva and Chamonix.
