Water quality is an important criterion for better performance, but above all for preserving the longevity of the steam generator.

- Water softening:
Hard (calcareous) water creates deposits on the heat-exchange surfaces of the steam generator. Under these deposits, hot spots form, causing strong corrosion of the metals and rapidly deteriorating the exchanger. Moreover, these deposits lead to a rapid decline in thermal efficiency.
- Protection against oxygen corrosion:
A generator is subject to strong oxygen corrosion, so it is important to address this problem.
The Simox solution involves injecting a product specially developed for this application: Soluvap 419.
Simox offers custom-made aluminium hoods adapted to each application. Lightweight, with a structure entirely made of aluminium and a stainless-steel steam diffuser running the full length of the hood, they can be moved manually or with a lever (either on two side wheels or with a roller).
We also manufacture hoods with stainless-steel spikes for in-depth disinfection deeper than 20 cm.
Ideal for use in greenhouses or in the field to disinfect soils, they connect easily to a low-pressure steam generator and are designed for optimal performance with the generator's power output. Simox offers all the necessary accessories (special hoses, steam distributor, quick connectors, etc.)
For in-depth treatment (25 to 30 cm), Simox offers tarpaulins for soil disinfection (specially treated, highly resistant material for a long service life). They are suitable for steam soil treatment. Available in various sizes, they are supplied made-to-measure according to the dimensions of your crops.
In addition to all the accessories for steam distribution (special hoses, steam distributor, quick connectors, etc.), we also offer textile hoses for diffusing steam along the entire length of the tarpaulin, thereby speeding up its inflation, which reduces the time and therefore the cost of disinfection.
Mainly used for producing hot concrete, with production capacities of up to 17,000 L, our hot water tanks can be installed to complement a low-pressure steam generator, either fixed in your premises or in a container for a fully independent mobile boiler room. Their large water volume (up to 4,500 L) makes it possible to supply a large volume of hot water in a very short time while maintaining a constant temperature, which is perfectly suited to the production requirements of concrete plants with large mixers.
They can also be used in other industries where large volumes of water or other fluids are required.

Simox produces tipping skips for the disinfection of topsoil, compost, growing substrate and mushroom substrate. Coupled with a steam generator, they achieve complete disinfection at 90 °C in about twenty minutes. The skips are made of stainless steel and are equipped with a steam diffuser and a control thermometer at the core of the material. They are widely used by agronomic research institutes as well as by horticulturists and municipalities for producing their potting soil, and also by mushroom growers.
We offer steam regulation systems on request to manage heating and temperature maintenance for concrete curing for each mould or for multi-zone curing chambers, liquid heating, and the steam supply to pellet-press conditioners.
We now offer disinfection screws for topsoil, growing or mushroom substrates, peat, compost or potting soil. They allow large volumes to be treated continuously and are designed to achieve homogeneous disinfection. They are made entirely of stainless steel and equipped with a speed controller that allows the treatment capacity to be adapted to the material being processed.
