It was in the early 1950s that the first SIMOX steam generators were brought to market, following a patent filed by the company, and were designed for agricultural use (weeding and disinfecting soil and growing media in a natural and organic way, well ahead of its time).
Since then, Simox has been constantly improving the performance of its low-pressure steam generators. Several further milestones have just been reached.
High-temperature superheated steam (180 to 230°C) increases its penetration rate into the ground and reduces disinfection time by around 20%, thereby lowering costs. Combined with high thermal efficiency, SIMOX steam generators offer the lowest upfront disinfection costs on the market.
The thermal efficiency of all our steam generators is now over 91.5%, with some reaching 94%. This results in reduced fuel consumption.
All our heating elements are now also compatible with low-NOx burners and can therefore meet the strictest NOx emission standards.
